Because little on a boat is square we make full sized patterns to ensure the upholstery will fit.
Things to consider when choosing materials:
- Choose carefully. Acrylic fabrics are fade resistant and can be mildew resistant. Microfibre fabrics wear extremely well and are very easily cleaned - but strong colours in particular can fade. Wool fabrics on a boat can last extremely well. Leathers can bring a touch of class but they should have a durable finish to stand up to marine use.
- Specialist foams are available for different uses on a boat including quick dry foam for any squabs that are going to get wet.
